A bus went off the roadway in California, killing one person and injuring multiple others

(CNN)One person is dead and seven others are injured after a passenger bus went off the roadway in San Luis Obispo County, California, authorities said.

Of the injured, five people have moderate injuries and two have major injuries, CAL FIRE said on Twitter.

Firefighters are currently on the scene, the agency said.

"Please drive with caution in the area," it said.
